2024: The year we stopped asking permission to tell our stories.

Spoiler alert: Age is not a limitation, it’s a perspective – and mine came with receipts this year! 🌸

When society suggests older Australians should quietly fade into the background, our #GreyMatterStudio said: “Hold my coffee.” This year wasn’t just about my journey; it was about amplifying voices that have been systematically marginalised.

Some highlights that prove age is just a number:

Professional pit stops this year:

• Senior Communications Officer at Electoral Commission
• Published research challenging age perceptions
• Started volunteering with Vision Australia Radio
• Continued dismantling ageist narratives (my favourite professional hobby).

To everyone who’s been told they’re “too old” – this is your permission slip to keep disrupting, creating, and absolutely refusing to be ignored.
