Healthy Heart Challenge #hearttime 20/21 July 2011

I know what things are good: friendship and work and conversation.  These I shall have.  ~Rupert Brooke

These past few days have been hectic. I have seen the new Harry Potter Movie, drunk coffee, held meetings, seen friends, worked, signed contracts, attended Ian Berry’s Book Launch, drunk wine, checked out very old wine, walked the length of Semaphore Beach, drunk coffee, eaten… written blogs and worked more. Not everything has been successful – but that’s the story of life. Ian challenged us to consider the changes we wanted in life and to grab our dreams. I am grateful and appreciative of every moment I spend with you.

What do you wish to change? #hearttime.

Tip of the day:
Heart attacks have been linked to low levels of vitamin B12. This nutrient is essential and is involved in almost every cellular system in the body. A lack of this nutrient can cause fatigue, dementia, heart problems and even some cancers.

For adequate vitamin B12 to be absorbed efficiently it needs a healthy gut flora, and the body cannot use folic acid correctly without vitamin B12 either.

The best sources of vitamin B12 are, liver, kidneys, beef, chicken, eggs yolks, fish. If you don’t eat animal products try Chlorella (organic), a natural source also containing minerals and enzymes.
